Join Penn State Global for a free half-day conference open to all students, faculty, and community members interested in global sustainability. Global Sustainable Action: It Starts With Us will feature multiple panels of student presenters with an especial focus on UN Sustainable Development Goal 16: “Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all, and build effective, accountable, and inclusive institutions at all levels.”
The breakout sessions will focus on three themes:

- Promoting inclusive communities and societies that provide access to all
- Finding solutions that enhance the resilience and effectiveness of institutions
Keynote speaker will be Christina Kwauk, a social scientist with an interdisciplinary focus on education for climate action. She is an expert on girls’ education in developing countries, 21st century skills and youth empowerment, and the intersections of gender, education, and climate change.
