Sustainability-Related Student Organizations

There are many Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) and co-curricular programs that are helping to further Sustainability at Penn State. Hundreds of organizations are hosting events and initiatives each semester that align with one or more of the UN SDGs. A current list of organizations can be found on this Google Doc.

From grassroots advocacy organizations like Eco Action to professional organizations in the College of Arts & Architecture, Engineering, Earth and Mineral Sciences (EMS), and Agricultural Sciences, to hands-on opportunities with the Student Farm Club, performing and visual arts, environmental and social justice-related groups, to student government and councils, there are many ways to get involved!

Student Organization Sustainability Efforts at Penn State

This is a brief survey. The purpose of the survey is for student organizations to report on their work related to sustainability on the Penn State campus. The United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a group of 17 global goals that were created to help achieve sustainability on a global level. Penn State has made a university-wide commitment to these goals. As a student in charge of a student organization, you are at the forefront of making this commitment a reality. Some background information about the goals can be found by visiting http://sustainabledevelopment.un.org

If you have any questions or would like to learn more about Student Org Sustainability, please contact the Student Organization Sustainability Program Manager Perry Dripps: pfd5199@psu.edu.
