Big10 & Friends
As a community of practice for sustainability in higher education institutions, the Big10 & Friends network shares best practices and experience to accelerate sustainability successes across the Big 10 and similar institutions.
Almost ten years ago, Pepsico saw an opportunity to make an impact for sustainability at Penn State when they committed funding to the Sustainability Institute. That funding kick-started the Student Farm, increased the scope of the Sustainable Communities Collaborative and City Semester programs, and supported student initiatives such as the Zero Waste President’s Box. We appreciate their partnership and support!
AEDG developed the 2MW array on the University Park campus, but they have also worked with faculty, students, and staff on sustainability-related projects! As a long-term provider of solar electricity to University Park, and a steward of the land under the array, we look forward to continuing to develop that site for research, teaching, and great environmental stewardship!
