Woman at War film poster

Join us for the third spring film in our Driving It Home film series, which explores the intersection of the UN Sustainable Development Goals with issues of sustainability that drive down to the local level. In March, we will be screening Woman at Wara film about climate change that almost defies categorization. This dramedy explores an eco-terrorist choir director in Iceland, fighting to save the lives of future generations of children by sabotaging major polluters who suddenly is confronted with a choice of whether to continue risking arrest in her pursuit for justice versus adopting a child and fulfilling her ambition to be a parent. Funny, tragic, and deeply disturbing, it is a film not to be missed.

Film is free and open to all; pre-registration is required. PLEASE NOTE: this will be an in-person screening on the Penn State University Park campus and will not stream on the web like our other films in this series. Screening is contingent upon it being safe to do so given COVID conditions locally and all attendees must follow fully all Penn State COVID safety precautions.
