Penn State Center Pittsburgh seeks a professional, highly motivated, organized, and action-oriented individual to coordinate program activities for the Center’s Sustainable Communities and Engaged Scholarship initiatives. The Sustainable Communities Coordinator works under the direction of the Sustainable Communities Manager to organize and guide the implementation of educational demonstration projects; assist in non-credit training for local green stormwater infrastructure workforce development; support engaged scholarship and community engagement in sustainable neighborhood place making; produce community educational materials; and represents Penn State Center Pittsburgh in community planning forums, networks and charrettes. This position also provides office support for technical graphics, presentations and educational events. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
