The Sustainability Institute is currently hiring for 2 positions to further the Institutes outreach and engagement strategy. A successful candidate must have a basic understanding of current sustainability issues and concepts, exceptional written and in-person communication skills and experience with campus entities such as UPUA, UPAC, and ASA. Duties include: 1) Acting as co-Executive Directors of the Council of Sustainable Leaders, 2) Coordinating Public Pedagogy and Engagement events for Fall and Spring 3) Representing the Sustainability Institute at the New Student Orientation, and based on the experience of the candidate there is the 4) Potential for partnerships with university entities (Career Services, Alumni Center, Greek Life, THON, Inter-Collegiate athletics, University Operations, et al) to further sustainability efforts. Working hours are flexible with a minimum of 10 hours during the academic year and an increase up to 30 hours for the summer. Applicants also applying for summer Erickson Discovery Grants will be provided support for sustainability-focused research.
