The Penn State Engaged Scholarship Community of Practice is for faculty and provides resources, ideas, and support for engaged scholarship teaching and research. Based on feedback from the September gathering, this hour long gathering will address priority topics identified by faculty and for faculty.
Why you should participate:
  • To engage with a community of like-minded peers by actively listening, bring ideas concerns and questions about engaged scholarship.
  • To discover – and share – best practices for structuring engagement projects and coaching students.
  • To connect with resource staff who can help you with this work (project structure, publications and research on engaged scholarship, and ideas for campus and community partners).

Penn State Sustainability, which supports engaged scholarship programs such as the Sustainable Communities Collaborative, Living Labs, and the Local Climate Action Program, is hosting the event. Penn State faculty will share resources and lead the discussions.
