The Facilities Department at Hershey Medical Center is looking for volunteers to help with the annual tree-planting event on Friday, April 21. Penn State College of Medicine and Penn State Health employees are invited to volunteer.

Participants will assist in the digging, planting, and staking of 100 native seedlings at the Campus Reforestation area, located to the southeast of the intersection of Reservoir Road and Meadowview Drive. Detailed directions will be provided via email to the volunteers who register.

Participation is limited and volunteers will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. Click here to sign up by Wednesday, April 19. All tools will be provided and Facilities Department staff will be present to provide instructions and assistance. This event will be held rain or shine.

The annual tree-planting ceremony is held in conjunction with Earth Day and is part of a partnership with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s 10 Million Trees Program, a regional conservation effort, as well as the Arbor Day Foundation’s Tree Campus Healthcare program.
