Penn State’s Commonwealth Campuses have a long history of sustainability leadership, actions and innovations generated by their Green Teams and Sustainability Committees. Some of these informally-structured groups have evolved into formally structured Councils, with a Chancellor-appointed Chair and a Charter, outlining its approach to strategically advance the University’s goals from within the unit. Leaders and members from both types of sustainability groups, representing a diverse spectrum of roles, connect online through the Microsoft Teams platform and quarterly zoom calls on specific topics. Each May they gather for two days of forums to share initiatives and discuss best practices. Below are a list of the current heads of either campus councils or green teams/sustainability committees.
