EcoReps Earth Day Festivities
April 19 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm EDT
| FreeEcoReps is hosting events around campus to celebrate Earth Day. The events will educate the student body about several SDGs through interactive games and crafts.
Outside of the Old Palmer Museum will be several crafts related to sustainability like plant your own spider plant, make a bracelet out of beads made from recycled magazines, and a small business, Zoils and Pigments, who will be showcasing how to make paint out of dirt for students to craft with.
Critters by the Creamery, conveniently named for its location outside Berkey Creamery, will have rescued animals from Centre Wildlife Care on display for students and community members to learn about firsthand. All of the animals shown have been rescued and can no longer live in the wild on their own. There will also be a make-your-own dog toy craft out of recycled clothing. The finished dog toys can be donated to Centre Paws if the student wishes not to keep it.
Finally, EcoReps will be tabling at Eco Action’s Eco-Carnival on HUB lawn to cross promote sustainability across programs. There will be an interactive game for students to engage in at the EcoReps table.
