We are excited to announce EcoSpatial Summit: Spatial Data Analysis and Visualization for Bees and Beyond, hosted by the Penn State Center for Pollinator Research and Institute for Sustainable Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences.

The EcoSpatial Summit brings together both experts and novices to foster knowledge sharing, collaboration, and innovation around applications of the spatial datasets featured in the Beescape platform and beyond. This workshop is aimed at researchers, data scientists, and students working at the interface of spatial data, ecosystem services, and online platforms. We will be discussing the Beecape platform and how the data layers behind it can be used to support research on conservation and ecosystem services of pollinators and beyond. We will also be workshopping a new Bee Shiny tool which will make it easier to access the land use, habitat quality, weather and climate data currently featured in Beescape. Participants can expect insightful talks from experts, engaging discussions on the latest trends and developments, interactive workshops to access Beescape data for research applications, and networking opportunities to connect with other researchers.
