| FreeThe Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World by Robin Wall Kimmerer uses the serviceberry plant as a metaphor to explore the concept of a “gift economy” in nature, highlighting the interconnectedness and reciprocity present in the natural world. This urges readers to reevaluate their relationship with resources by learning from the plant’s practice of sharing its bounty with other creatures, instead of focusing on individual accumulation and competition.
Students can still join a session if they haven’t read or have missed a previous one – all are welcome!
