Join the GreenGov Council and Penn State Sustainability for the next webinar in our monthly GreenGov Sustainability Webinar series!

Social infrastructure refers to “the networks of spaces, facilities, institutions, and groups that create affordances for social connection.” Understanding current social contexts related to ageism, climate change, and social isolation brings to light the importance of social infrastructure to strengthen a community’s capacity for responding to climate-related health events, such as extreme heat. This webinar will examine vulnerability of Pennsylvania’s population and explore methods for improving social connectedness.

Featuring Erica Husser, Assistant Research Professor, Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing, Penn State, and Kristina Brant, Assistant Professor of Rural Sociology, Department of Agricultural Economics, Sociology, and Education, Penn State.
