2021 John Roe Sustainability Impact Award Nominations are now being accepted

John Roe Sustainability Impact Awards:
Honoring the late Penn State mathematics professor John Roe, who was passionate about sustainability and the outdoors and worked tirelessly to incorporated these values into his teaching. This award honors individuals who cultivate opportunities to advance the Sustainable Development Goals while demonstrating personal integrity, an unwavering commitment to fostering peace and justice, and to strengthening partnerships.

The inaugural awards in 2020, had 10 student award winners – Elijah DePaulis, Anna Nguyen, Celeste Makay, Rim Boujnah, Julio Diarte, Emily Sandall, Yumna Kurdi, Benjamin Lyman, Nick Unis and Whitney Ashead – representing undergraduates and graduates across many disciplines from the DuBois, Brandywine, Behrend and University Park campuses.
