The Sustainability Institute’s Green Careers Leadership Symposium (GCLS) this past semester, sponsored in conjunction with the Career Services Center’s Spring Career Days, and with the assistance of the Sustainability Coalition, was held on February 15, 2011. At the event, a small group of employers had the opportunity to discuss their sustainability-related career opportunities with a small group of invited students. These students were those who are active in sustainability-related organizations or majors at Penn State (e.g., ASES, NECA, Solar Decathlon, EcoAction; Energy, Business and Finance major, etc.). After this facilitated personal networking session, we presented a panel discussion on green careers; this event was open to the entire Penn State community.
