Seminar: "Why Should Scientists Care about Public Policy"

Please join us Thursday, May 11 from 4-5pm to learn from Dr. Marilyn Baker of The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. Dr. Baker will discuss social and economic pressures on scientists and the value of interaction with the public and with policymakers. Learn how scientists benefit and how society benefits with examples from her current work with the National Academies. She will offer pratical suggestions for how to communicate effectively with non-scientists and how to become involved in public policy locally and nationally. Please join us for this informative discussion and learn how to be a better advocate for science!
