Energy and Sustainability Day at Philadelphia Navy Yard

JOIN US on March 19th!

Penn State students from across colleges and campuses are invited to visit The Navy Yard in Philadelphia to discuss and explore Energy and Sustainability topics. See sustainability concepts in practice, and visit Penn State's GridSTAR Center - a unique learning and research environment designed to accelerate the future of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and smart grid technologies.

As host to the upcoming Shaping the Future Summit Event, the GridSTAR team will provide an informative tour of The Navy Yard campus including the newly renovated Urban Outfitters headquarters, where you will see how diverse industry partners and leaders are working together to solve critical issues facing our energy infrastructure.

6:30a - Depart from Reber Building
10:30a - Arrive at The Navy Yard
11:00a - Student Welcome from Navy Yard leaders
12:00p - Bus Tour of Navy Yard and Lunch at Urban Outfitter's Shop 543
1:30p - Tour of GridSTAR Center and Energy & Sustainability Workshops
3:00p - Reflective Discussion
4:00p - Depart for University Park
8:00p - Return to University Park
